The Municipal Budgets for 2081/82 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Bhaktapur Municipality, and Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City are given below:

Lalitpur Metropolitan City

Lalitpur has set its budget at Rs 7.46 billion, an increase of Rs 960 million from the previous fiscal year. The budget includes:

  • Development Projects: Rs 4.67 billion
  • Recurrent Expenditure: Rs 2.78 billion

Bharatpur Metropolitan City

Bharatpur’s budget stands at Rs 6.55 billion, prioritizing:

  • Mayor Resident Program for Marginalized Communities
  • Greenery promotion
  • Daughter Insurance Program
  • Renewable energy consumption

Bhaktapur Municipality

Bhaktapur has proposed a budget of Rs 2.66 billion, with allocations including:

  • Development Expenditure: Rs 994 million (37.30%)
  • Recurrent Expenditure: Rs 1.57 billion (58.93%)
  • Financial Management: Rs 105 million

Key priorities are the storage and marketing of local agricultural products, tourism promotion, and waste management.

Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City

Nepalgunj has announced a budget of Rs 1.50 billion, focusing on:

  • Running the campaign ‘Visit Western Nepal 2081’ to promote tourism
  • Conservation of holy places
  • Promotion of organic farming
  • Free insemination of cattle
  • Management of stranded animals

These budget announcements reflect the diverse priorities and strategic plans of the municipalities to foster development and enhance the quality of life for their residents.
