The interest rate of commercial banks for the month of Mangsir is published effective from the first day of this month. Out of 20 Commercial Banks only one bank has increased the interest rate whereas 12 banks have lowered it and 7 banks kept it unchanged following the previous month’s interest rate.
For this month, NIC Asia Bank is providing the highest interest rate on individual fixed deposits, whereas Laxmi Sunrise Bank provides the lowest interest rate.
Rastriya Banijya Bank is the only bank that has increased the interest rate by 0.20 % on individual fixed deposits. In contrast, Machhapuchchhre Bank has lowered the interest rate by 1 % for this month on individual fixed deposits.
