The updated interest rates of the commercial banks for the month of Shrawan have been released. Out of the 20 commercial banks in Nepal, 14 have reduced their interest rates, and 4 have not changed their interest rates. The banks that have maintained their previous interest rates are:
- Laxmi Sunrise Bank
- Nabil Bank
- Nepal Investment Mega Bank
- Nepal SBI Bank
Meanwhile, 2 banks (Agriculture Development Bank and Everest Bank) have increased their interest rates for the month of Shrawan.

Among the banks that have decreased their interest rates, Himalayan Bank has made the largest reduction, decreasing rates by 0.75 percent for individual fixed deposits making it 7.50 percent, and 0.50 percent for institutional fixed deposits making it 6.50 percent.
At the same time, the Agriculture Development Bank has increased the interest rate by 0.63 percent, making it 6.2985 percent for individual fixed deposits, while the interest rate for institutional fixed deposits remained the same at 4.01 percent.
