Nepal Solar Farm Limited was established as a private company in 2074 and became a public corporation in 2080. The company’s head office is located in Bafal, Kathmandu. The solar farm project has an authorized capital of Rs. 30 crore and an issued capital of Rs. 25 crore. The farm project is in Shimle, Ward No. 6 of Rupakot Rural Municipality, Kaski District.

The project began on Kartik 14, 2079, and has since started commercial electricity production, connecting to the national transmission line.
