SEBON Chairman Likely To Be Appointed Today

The Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) is likely to be appointed today. The position has been vacant since January 4, 2024 (Poush 20, 2080).

The process of recommending at least three candidates to the Ministry of Finance has been completed. After the interview on November 24, the Chairman of the Recommendation Committee shortlisted the names of three candidates.

According to sources, the recommended candidates are Muktinath Shrestha, Santosh Narayan Shrestha, and Navaraj Adhikari. The new appointment is expected to introduce fresh leadership to SEBON.

The final decision will be made in today’s Cabinet meeting, where one of the three will be selected as the new Chairman.
