Karnali Yaks won by 21 runs against Chitwan Rhinos in the Qualifier 1 match of the Nepal Premier League 2024, held at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground on December 18. With this win, Karnali Yaks advanced to Qualifier 2, scheduled for December 19.
The Chitwan Rhinos won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting in the first innings, Karnali Yaks scored 175 runs in 20 overs, losing 6 wickets.
In the second innings, Chitwan Rhinos struggled to chase the target, managing only 154 runs in 20 overs losing 9 wickets.
This defeat eliminated Chitwan Rhinos from the tournament, leaving them in fourth place. Karnali Yaks, however, will compete in Qualifier 2 against the loser of the Eliminator Round from today’s second match.
