The Securities Board of Nepal’s Chairman (SEBON) will likely be appointed today. The position has been vacant since January 4, 2024 (Poush 20, 2080).
The process of recommending at least three candidates to the Ministry of Finance has been completed. After the interview on November 24, the Chairman of the Recommendation Committee shortlisted the names of three candidates. According to sources, the recommended candidates are:
- Muktinath Shrestha
- Santosh Narayan Shrestha
- Navaraj Adhikari
The new Chairman of SEBON appointment is expected to introduce fresh leadership. The final decision will be made in today’s Cabinet meeting, where one of the three will be selected as the new Chairman.
