However, the index could not sustain the momentum and gradually declined throughout the session, closing at 2,761.22. This marked a drop of 27.14 points or 0.97%. Investor sentiment remained negative as selling pressure dominated the market. The daily turnover stood at NPR 7.73 Arba, slightly higher than NPR 7.46 Arba in the previous session.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) led the turnover list with NPR 51.67 crore, closing at Rs. 1,575.00, down 1.16%. Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) followed with NPR 35.45 crore, ending flat at Rs. 1,006.20. Nepal Republic Media Limited (NRM) stood third with NPR 24.96 crore in turnover, closing at Rs. 554.00 after a minor decline of 2.35%.

RBB Mutual Fund 1 (RMF1) was the day’s biggest gainer, rising 7.93% to close at Rs. 11.03. Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) came next, gaining 6.29% to settle at Rs. 735.15.
