Commercial Banks Profit Growth FY 2081/82

Top Growth Performers

Kumari Bank recorded the most remarkable jump in profits, with an increase of 45,820.14%, primarily due to adjustments in the previous year’s figures. Prabhu Bank and Nepal Bank also showed significant growth after revising past results.

Four banks, namely Standard Chartered Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, Citizens Bank International, and NIC Asia Bank, recorded lower profits than the previous year. Among them, NIC Asia saw the steepest decline.

Distributable Profit Per Share

When looking at distributable profit per share, Everest Bank Limited (EBL) led with Rs. 38.27 per share, followed by Sanima Bank Limited with Rs. 20.47 per share. Surprisingly, Nepal Investment Mega Bank, despite being second in total net profit, recorded the lowest positive figure at just Rs. 1.44 per share.

Four banks reported negative distributable profit per share during the quarter, indicating they may face challenges in dividend distribution.
